This is an application for bail in connection with Bolpur P.S. Case No. 195 of 2020 dated 08.08.2020 under Sections 364/302/201 of the Indian Penal Code at the behest of the petitioner.

The learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 08.08.2020 and as the investigation has already been concluded, the petitioner may be released on bail on any stringent condition. The learned advocate for the State produces the case diary and draws the attention of this Court to the statement of the witnesses, the post mortem report and the other materials available on record.

We have perused the case diary and on our assessment the offences alleged are heinous. Incriminating

materials are appearing against the present petitioner which, prima facie, establish the complicity of the present petitioner in the ghastly incident. As such, we are not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. The petitioner's prayer for bail is, accordingly, rejected.

The application for bail, being CRM 1228 of 2021, is, thus, dismissed.
