Report submitted by the Range Officer, Barasat S.F. Range to the Divisional Forest Officer is taken on record. The field enquiry report conducted by the Range Officer, Barasat S.F. Range reveals that about 38 numbers of Debdaru trees were pollarded for beautification, cleaning, maintenance of public utility service standing on road maintained by Department of Urban Development & Municipal Affairs which was the complaint lodged by the petitioner. However, at site no trees were found which were cut.

In view of the report of the Forest Officer, I do not find any reason to direct the police authorities to take steps. If the petitioner has evidence in his custody, petitioner will pursue his remedy under

Section 223 of the BNSS before the jurisdictional court concerned.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 3641 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
