The petitioner complains that the private respondents are cutting trees and selling them, without prior permission from the Authority concerned. He has complained to the Prodhan, Mangalpur Gram Panchayat.

The petitioner has also complained to the Indus Police Station in this regard.

In those circumstances, this Court directs the District Magistrate, Bankura to cause an investigation into the matter of illegal felling of trees by the private respondents in the area.

The Officer-in-charge, Indus Police Statino shall ensure that there is absolutely no breach of peace in the area and the complaint of the petitioner is looked into and appropriate steps are taken.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
