Petitioner has approached this Court being aggrieved that her representation with the police authorities dated 25.12.2024 was not acted upon. Learned advocate for the State has submitted a report. Report reflects that Pandua Police Station Case No.56 of 2025 dated 20.01.2025 has been registered for investigation under the different provisions of the BNS. Steps are being taken by the Investigating Agency. Notices have been served and the statements of the witnesses have been recorded. Report also reflects that the accused has been released on bail.

Learned advocate for the respondent nos.4 and 5 submits that the genesis of the present dispute relates to electricity connection and subsequent to the electricity connection being effected, one after another cases are being registered.

Be that as it may, petitioner was aggrieved and approached this Court at a stage when to the best of the knowledge of the petitioner, no case was registered. Report submits that the police authorities have registered the case and are investigating the case. Accordingly, the police authorities will take the investigation to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time by putting in efforts. In case the petitioner, who happens to be de facto complainant, informs regarding her insecurity, police authorities would take measure in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 2921 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
