(DB) 564 of 2023 In Re: An application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure filed on 02.02.2023 in connection with Dankuni Police Station Case No.388 of 2022 dated 29.10.2022 under Sections 25(1B)(a)/25(1AA) of the Arms Act, 1959.

And In Re: Minarul Islam ... ... Petitioner Mr. Anit Dey ... ... for the petitioner Mr. S. S. Imam Mr. S. Kundu ... ... for the State Heard the learned Advocates appearing for both the parties. Petitioner is an illegal arms dealer. A number of criminal cases alleging possession of illegal arms have been registered against him. Present case also shows his involvement in dealing with illegal arms. There is possibility of commission of similar offence in future. Hence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

The application for bail is thus rejected.
