Petitioner(s) Mr. Arnab Chatterjee Mr. Avik Ghosh Ms. Debolilna Roy ... for the Petitioner(s) Mr. Rudradipta Nandy Mr. Soumya Basu Roy Chowdhuri ... for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is similarly placed as the other accused person who has been granted bail in CRM (NDPS) 168 of 2026. Learned advocate for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail but is unable to refute the parity which the petitioner can enjoy with the person who has been granted bail.

In view of the petitioner being similarly situated as the other accused person who has been granted bail, I am of the view that further detention of the present petitioner is unwarranted.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Allowed.

Accordingly, the petitioner viz, Naresh Mondal shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only), with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the Learned Special Judge, Special Court under NDPS Act-cum-Additional Sessions Judge, 5th Court, Berhampore, Murshidabad. If on bail, the petitioner shall also make himself physically available on each and every date so fixed by the learned Special court and shall not leave the district of Murshidabad without prior intimation to the learned Special Court. Additionally, the petitioner shall till further orders of this court once in every 10 days meet with the Inspector-incharge of Sagarpara Police Station. The Inspector-in-charge of Sagarpara Police Station once in a month will report before the learned Special Court regarding the compliance of the said conditions.

Accordingly, CRM(NDPS) 255 of 2026 is allowed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
