The instant writ petition has been filed seeking quashing of a demand raised by the State authorities under Bengal Public Demand Recovery Act, 1913.

Mr. Indranil Roy, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the State-respondents places a bunch of orders passed in the connected proceeding wherefrom it appears that by an order dated February 11, 2025, the demand dated January 17, 2025 which is impugned in this writ petition has been revoked and as such the instant writ petition has lost its force and has become infructuous. The documents placed by the learned Senior Counsel

appearing for the State-respondents, are taken on record.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners has already confirmed such position. Accordingly, since the demand has been revoked nothing further survives in this writ petition.

This writ petition, WPA 2876 of 2025 stands dismissed as infructuous.

It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the demand or the proceeding connected therewith.

The respondent shall be at liberty to take steps in accordance with law, if they are permitted to do in law.
