It appears that pursuant to an online application submitted by the petitioner for issuance of death certificate of his mother, an enquiry was held and the contention of the petitioner verified. The petitioner was informed on 14th May, 2025 that his application for delayed registration of death was successfully submitted. Despite the same, the death certificate is yet to be issued by the 4th respondent.

Upon consideration of the submission made on behalf the parties, this Court is inclined to hold that since the petitioner has submitted an application for issuance of the death certificate of his mother upon compliance of all formalities, the 4th respondent is directed to approve issuance of the same and forward the same to the 6th respondent within two weeks from date. The 6th respondent shall issue death certificate of

the petitioner's mother to him within one week thereafter.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, allegations contained in the writ petition shall be deemed not to have been admitted.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
