The petitioner claims that despite FIR registered by Khargram Police Station being Khargram Police Station Case No.83 of 2019 dated 3rd April 2019 under Sections 420/421/467/471/406 of the Indian Penal Code, no steps have been taken to investigate. Learned counsel for the State has produced a report in the form of instructions issued by the Officerin-Charge, Khargram Police Station, Murshidabad PD addressed to the learned Government Pleader and the same is taken on record.

It appears that FIR has been investigated into and charge sheet being Khargram Police Station Charge Sheet No.233/21 dated 29th July 2021 under Sections 420/421/467/471/406 of the IPC has been filed against seven persons. Five persons have been released on bail and two persons are absconding. The matter is now pending before the ACJM, Kandi, Murshidabad in the form of GR No.416/19.

Therefore, the police have taken steps in accordance with law.

A copy of the charge sheet be made available to the writ petitioner by the Khargram Police.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
