Roy, Mr. Biplab Das ...for the respondent nos. 2 to 4 Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners contends that, although the Board of the respondent no. 9-Co-operative Society, that is, Mamjoan "O" Hatisala G.P. Samabay Krishi Unnayan Samity Limited, was dissolved in January last, no fresh election has yet been held in respect of the said society. Accordingly, the petitioners pray that such election may be held as expeditiously as possible.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondentauthorities contend that in view of the substantial number of members of the society, at least six months' time will be required for completing the election process.

Although the petitioners plead urgency in the matter, keeping in view the practical situation in view of the large number of members of the society concerned, W.P.A. No. 2648 of 2022 is disposed of by directing the respondent no. 5, that is, the Commissioner, West Bengal Co-operative Election Commission, to conduct and culminate the process of election in respect of the respondent no.9-Society as expeditiously as possible, positively within six months from date, in accordance with law.

There will be no order as to costs.
