The grievance of the petitioner is directed against the illegal disconnection of his electric meter by the respondent no.1.

It is submitted by the respondent no.1 that the disputes raised by the petitioner pertain to billing disputes. As such under Regulation 3.5.1, the petitioner has a statutory remedy to approach the R.G.R.O. (Redressal Grievance Officer).

In view of the statutory alternative and efficacious remedy available to the petitioner, I am not inclined to entertain this writ petition.

WPA 3296 of 2021 is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the RGRO in accordance with law.

If the petitioner does file such application, the concerned RGRO is requested to dispose of the representation of the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the same and after

giving a right of hearing to all the affected parties and passing a reasoned order.

With the aforesaid directions, WPA 3296 of 2021 stands disposed off.
