REJECTED C.R.M.(A) 528 of 2024 In Re:- In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Ghatal Police Station Case No. 441 of 2023 dated 29.12.2023 under Section 341/323/506/354B of the Indian Penal Code and Section 8/12 of POCSO Act.

And In Re : Achinta Karak ...... petitioner Mr. Arup Kumar Bhowmick ...for the petitioner Mr. Antarikhya Basu ...for the State Minor recorded a statement under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C. implicating the petitioner. Her statements stand corroborated by an eye-witness.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner in the incident of assault, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner and the prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.
