And In Re : Bablu Sarkar @ Jahiruddin Mia ...... petitioner Mr. Kaushik Chowdhury Ms. Busra Khatun ....for the petitioners Mr. Swapan Banerjee Ms. Purnima Ghosh ....for the State The petitioner is named in the statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the victim as one of the perpetrators of the crime.

In such circumstances, considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 556 of 2023 is dismissed.
