1. The appeal preferred by the petitioner could not be considered by the ombudsman allegedly on the ground that there is no provision in the existing regulation to treat the applicant Sunil Ghosh or any other person as a consumer of Consumer ID 313093486 pertaining to Naba Kumar Ghosh.

2. Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that an affidavit has been submitted by the son of the deceased Naba Kumar Ghosh disclosing that he does not have any objection if the electricity connection is transferred in favour of the petitioner.

3. It appears that the affidavit relied upon by the petitioner was affirmed after the order was passed by the Deputy Director (Engg).

4. It will be open for the petitioner to place all documents before the concerned authority for reconsideration of his prayer for settling the bill amount raised by WBSEDCL.

5. The writ petition stands disposed of.

6. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
