Without entering into the merit of the claim of the petitioner, the instant writ petition stands disposed of by directing the competent authority of the respondents to take a decision on the petitioner's prayer seeking compassionate appointment strictly in accordance with law, at the earliest, but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The fate of the application made by the petitioner seeking compassionate appointment shall be made known to the petitioner.
