Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is aggrieved by the police authorities having not taken steps in spite of informing the Officer-in-Charge, Jamalpur Police Station and the Superior Officers of Police of the District of Purba Bardhaman.

Mr. Yusuf, learned Additional Government Pleader has submitted a report. Report reflects that the police authorities have already set the law into motion and Jamalpur Police Station Case No.51 of 2025 dated 14.02.2025 has been registered for investigation.

According to the report, police authorities are taking steps for tracing out the accused persons. Statements of the witnesses have already been recorded.

In view of the police authorities already setting the law into motion, I am of the opinion that the police authorities would take effective steps under the BNSS and take the investigation of the case to its logical conclusion.;

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 3007 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
