It is submitted on behalf of the petitioners there was no robbery and no specific overt act is attributed against them. Accordingly, they pray for anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits prayer for pre-arrest bail of co-accused viz. Rakbul Hossain was rejected.

We have considered the materials on record. Petitioners and others accosted the victims on the street. They were physically assaulted and articles were stolen. In light of the aforesaid circumstances and as prayer for pre-arrest bail of co-accused viz. Rakbul Hossain has been turned down, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners stands rejected.
