Heard learned Advocates for both the parties. 2.

We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner is the husband of the victim lady. He assaulted his mother-in-law resulting in grievous injuries. He had absconded for about two years. In light of the aforesaid materials and the petitioner's conduct, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to him.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner stands rejected.
