1. The instant writ application has been filed, inter alia, praying for execution of a certificate issued under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972.

2. When this matter was taken up on the previous occasion on 15th December 2020, it was submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he had oral instructions that the gratuity amount had been paid. However, he was awaiting written instruction for withdrawing the writ application.

3. Having regard to the aforesaid, the aforesaid matter was adjourned. Since, then no further steps have been taken by the petitioner. It appears that the petitioner is not interested in proceeding with the matter.

4. In view of the aforesaid, the writ application being WPA 1753 of 2018 is dismissed for default.
