Sengupta Ms. Sreetama Das ... for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 165 days and charge-sheet has already been submitted. According to the learned advocate, there are no eye-witness in support of the prosecution's case and it is only on assumption the petitioner has been roped in by the police authorities.

Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the case is based on circumstantial evidence and previous enmity is existing between the deceased and the present petitioner. Learned advocate also added that the expert's evidence do support the case of the prosecution.

Having regard to the stage of the case; the involvement of the present petitioner in the offence and the

materials appearing in the case diary, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.

Accordingly, CRM(M) 404 of 2026 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.
