Ms. Papiya Chattopadhyay ...for the petitioner The petitioner is aggrieved that investigation into the FIR No. 776 of 2020 dated November 22, 2020 registered by the Amdanga Police Station, North 24 Parganas has not been completed as yet. The State was asked by a Co-ordinate bench of this Court to submit a report by way of affidavit on the status of investigation.

The State is not represented today.

Be that as it may, the petitioner has remedies against the final report.

The Amdanga Police shall complete investigation and file a report in final form before the Magistrate concerned as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of one month from date. If report in final form has already been filed, let a copy be made available to the petitioner by the Amdanga Police.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
