The petitioner is in custody for more than a year and prays for bail.

The bail prayer of the petitioner was turned down by this Court on 21st June, 2024 and the petitioner has renewed his prayer.

In dealing with a bail application of co-accused Najmuna Khatun on 27th August, 2024, this Court directed the learned trial Court to take immediate steps for splitting up the trial in accordance with law and proceed with the trial in so far as the other accused persons were concerned.

It appears that warrant of proclamation and attachment has been executed in respect of 7 absconding accused persons and date has been fixed for consideration of charge.

Considering the material available in the case diary connecting the petitioner to the alleged offence as well as the gravity of offence, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage. The application for bail is disposed of.
