The instruction on behalf of the State reached the court while the court was dictated the order. Hence learned counsel for the petitioner was not aware of the instructions at the time the matter was taken of. Written instructions are kept on record.

It appears from the facts of the matter that despite the approval for appointment of the petitioner as a temporary Muslim Marriage Registrar dated 22nd June, 2020, the concerned State respondents have failed to act in pursuance of the said order. The State respondents have also not responded to the representation made by the writ petitioner on 2nd November, 2020.

The instructions now handed up on behalf of the State Respondents State that necessary directions may be given to the respondent no.2 and 3 for taking

necessary steps in terms of the order of the department dated 22nd June, 2020 which has been referred to above.

W.P.A.2790 of 2022 is accordingly disposed of with a direction on the respondent nos.2 and 3 being the Inspector General of Registration and Commissioner of Stamp Revenue, West Bengal and the District Registrar, Hooghly respectively to take appropriate steps in terms of the order of the department dated 22nd June, 2020, in terms of appointment of the petitioner as a temporary Muslim Marriage Registrar within a period of two weeks from date. The petitioner shall be at liberty of mentioning before the court in case there is any delay on the part of the concerned respondents in relation to the directions passed by this court.
