Raj ... for the respondent nos.3 & 4 This is an application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the writ petitioner is seeking a change in the name of her mother in the certificate issued for her Class X examination under the Central Board of Secondary Education. The petitioner relies upon circular dated November 10, 2017 to indicate that the revised timeline for correction of name of the mother is five years. In light of the above circular, I direct the Central Board of Secondary Education to consider the Advocate on-record's letter dated September 14, 2020 within a period of two weeks from date and to pass a reasoned order in accordance with law.

Needless to mention, if the order is in favour of the petitioner, the change in the name of her mother in the

certificate for Class X shall be carried out by the Board. The Board is further directed that the corrected name of the mother of the petitioner shall be incorporated in the Class XII certificate to be issued to the petitioner upon her taking the Class XII examinations.

In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of. Since no affidavit-in-opposition is called for, allegations made in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
