The daughter of the petitioner, Debarina Manna, would be appearing in the ensuing Madhyamik Pariksha, 2025 as a bona fide student of Nandakumarpur High School (H.S.), Raidighi, District: 24 Parganas (South). The grievance of the petitioner is that the said Pariksha though is scheduled to be held on and from February 10, 2025 but in spite of registration, the daughter of the petitioner has not yet received the admit card. The petitioner is praying issuance of the same. Ms. Koyeli Bhattacharyya, learned advocate for the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education submits that the petitioner since has not been enrolled with the Board for the said examination, the admit card has not been issued to her.
Mr. Sandip Ghosh, learned advocate for the School submits that as the student took admission in Class-X in the said school but mistakenly her particulars were not uploaded in the portal designated for enrolment of the students of the said Pariksha.
The student, without any fault, is facing unnecessary anxiety before the first Board Examination. To obviate the difficulties of the students who have not been enrolled with the Board due to the laches of
the school, the Board has decided to re-open the designated online portal on February 6, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. till 2:00 p.m. on February 07, 2025 and thereby enabling the schools to upload the particulars of the left out bona fide students for enrolment and for the purpose of submission of the hard copy of the enrolment applications, shall keep its main office open on Saturday (February 08, 2025) and Sunday (February 09, 2025) from 11:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m.
The school shall now take appropriate steps for enrolment of the daughter of the petitioner with the Board and shall also take her signature in the hard copy of the enrolment application to be submitted along with all relevant documents with the Deputy Secretary (Examination) of the Board on one of the aforementioned dates and time and upon payment of the enrolment fees, stationary fees, late processing fees together with costs of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only), the Board shall enroll the said student for the Madhyamik Pariksha, 2025 and shall issue the admit card. The school shall collect the said admit cards on behalf of the student and shall deliver it to her residence. No affidavit since has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.
WPA 3012 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms.
