The copy of an e-mail, sent by the petitioners to the respondents, indicating enlistment of the matter on upgradation, filed today in Court, be kept on record.

The petitioner no.

is a registered organization working for elderly people. The petitioner no. 1 applied for aid from the Government of West Bengal, which was internally forwarded between the respondents at various levels, as indicated from the annexures to the writ petition.

Despite such inter-departmental

sanctions and approvals, the aid has not yet been granted finally to the petitioner no. 1.

It is evident that, in view of several positive communications in favour of the grant of such aid, the matter should be decided upon urgently by the respondent no. 4.

Accordingly, W.P.A. No. 2155 of 2020 with C.A.N. 1 of 2020 are disposed of by directing the respondent no. 4 to consider the petitioners' prayer for academic recognition and sponsorship of the special schools for the handicapped and Government approval of the Homes and to grant the Government aid, as appearing at page 48 of the writ petition (Annexure P-4) at the earliest, positively within four weeks from the date of communication of this order to the said respondent.

The decision thereon shall be intimated to the petitioners immediately thereafter.

The petitioners shall communicate this order immediately to the respondent no. 4 for the purpose of effective implementation of the same. The respondent no. 4 shall act on the communication of the learned advocates and/or server copy of this order without insisting upon prior production of the certified copy.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
