Galib ......for the State The petitioner is aggrieved by a display in the web portal of the respondent No. 2 being the Registrar General of Marriages, West Bengal which reflects the name of the petitioner with the status "Fully Suspended".

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner places an order dated 19.09.2022 of the Registrar General of Marriages which suspended the petitioner for a period of six months from the date of receipt of the order. Counsel submits that the period of suspension ended on 19.03.2023.

Learned counsel appearing for the State respondent takes a very fair stand in the matter. Since, admittedly, the period of suspension expired on 19.03.2023, there is no basis for the petitioner's name to be reflected as "Fully Suspended".

WPA 2893 of 2023 is accordingly disposed of with the direction on the respondent No. 2 being the Registrar General of Marriages, West Bengal to make appropriate corrections on the web portal of the concerned Registry/Department within 48 hrs. from today. The respondent No. 2 shall also permit the petitioner to resume her functions and duties as a Marriage Registrar for the concerned Districts with immediate effect.
