The petitioner seeks a fresh electricity connection at his premises situated at Flat No.1, Ground Floor, 432, G.T. Road (North), Howrah. In this connection, the petitioner had filed an application with the CESC Limited.

On behalf of the CESC Limited, it is submitted that the private respondent is objecting to the installation of any fresh electricity connection and hence the delay.

In view of the submissions made by the parties, WPA 3125 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing CESC Limited to provide an electricity connection to the petitioner in accordance with law and after compliance with all statutory formalities including payment of any charges.

In case of any eventuality, the police authorities are directed to give police assistance to CESC Limited. The cost for any kind of police assistance would be exclusively borne by the petitioner.

The petitioner is directed to comply with all statutory formalities including making payment of fees.

The above exercise is to be carried out within 4 weeks from the date of passing of this order. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
