For the CESC It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that this petition is directed against the refusal of the respondent authorities to provide a fresh electric connection in terms of the letter dated 2nd January, 2021 issued by the CESC.

It is submitted on behalf of the CESC that this is a case of splitting of load and the petitioner has an alternative efficacious remedy.

In view of the statutory alternative remedy available to the petitioner the petitioner is directed to make representation to the OMBUDSMAN within a period of two weeks from date. If such representation is received by the OMBUDSMAN within the stipulated period of time as aforesaid, the OMBUDSMAN is directed to dispose of the representation within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of such representation after giving a right of hearing to all the affected parties

With the aforesaid directions, W.P.A. 3556 of 2021 is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
