Both the parties i.e. the accused persons/petitioners and the private opposite party/de facto complainant has filed a joint petition for compromise staying inter alia that the dispute between the parties have been amicably settled and in view of such settlement Daspur Police Case No. 117 of 2020 under Sections 341/323/325/307/354B/379/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code dated 20.3.2020 corresponding to G.R. Case No. 280 of 2020 may be quashed.

The learned P.P. in charge has submitted a report that the Officer in Charge of Daspur Police Station who recorded the statement of the de facto complainant, staying, inter alia that the dispute between her and the petitioners have been amicably settled.

It appears form the copy of the charge sheet that the allegation under Section 354B of the Indian Penal Code and Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code that other provisions are compoundable in nature. In the subsequent settlement made by the de facto complainant it is found that there was no attempt on the part of the petitioners to commit murder of the de facto complainant or that se has not been disrupted within the meaning of Section 354B of the Indian Penal Code.

In view of the such circumstances, I accept the joint petition for compromise. The application is, therefore, allowed. Further proceedings of G.R. Case No. 280 of 2020 pending before the Learned Additional Judicial Magistrate at Ghatal, Paschim Mediniur against the petitioners be quashed.

The application is thus disposed of.
