The matter is taken up for hearing today in presence of the learned advocates representing the petitioner and the University of Calcutta being the principal respondent.

On instruction it has been submitted by Mr.

Kishore Datta, learned senior advocate representing the University that financial benefits for promotion from Senior Assistant to Junior Superintendent with retrospective effect from 30th November, 2012 as per the previous orders passed by this Court has already been extended in favour of the petitioner and the petitioner has been granted such promotion from the aforesaid date retrospectively.

The documents in support of grant of such promotional benefits in favour of the petitioner are placed before this Court, which are taken on record. In view of aforesaid situation, it appears that the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. Application, if pending, also stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings. (Saugata Bhattacharyya, J.)
