.... Petitioner Mr. Prabir Majumder ...for the petitioner Mr. S. S. Imam Mr. Mujibar Ali Naskar ..for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. There was a fight between co-villagers. Both sides received injuries. But, none was grievous in nature.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He relies on the statements of the victim and other eye-witnesses. He also refers to the injury report which shows infliction of serious cut injury on a vital portion of the body like scalp which required six stitches for repair. He submits that the principal accused is the present petitioner.

Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider that this is to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
