And In the matter of : Chiranjit Santra Mr. Tanmay Chowdhury Ms. Rituparna Ghosh Ms. Sulagna Sarkar ... ... for the petitioner Mr. Sandip Chakraborty Ms. Suchismita Dutta ... ... for the State Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 247 days and the petitioner being the husband of the lady who eloped along with the deceased son has been falsely implicated in connection with the instant case.

Learned advocate for the State draws the attention of this Court to the statement under section 183 BNSS of some of the eye witnesses.

I have taken into account the same and I am of the opinion that at least before the eye witnesses are examined in the present case, it would not be fit and proper to release the petitioner on bail.

As such, prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM 410 of 2026 is rejected.
