Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent of the charges and is in custody for 6 months and 12 days. Charge sheet as well as supplementary charge sheet has been submitted before the jurisdictional Court. It has also been pointed out by the petitioner that, similarly placed accused persons have been granted bail in CRM(M) 1968 of 2025 and CRM(M) 2313 of 2025.

Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that from the present petitioner, 15 Arms and 961 Ammunitions were recovered. Some of the Arms complained of, on behalf of the State, belong to the Paramilitary Forces as well as the State Armory.

Having regard to the huge quantity of ammunitions and fire arms recovered including the same belonging to the Defence Forces and the State Police Forces, I am of the view that so far as the present petitioner is concerned he is not similarly situated as the other accused persons. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM(R) 22 of 2026 is dismissed.
