... for the State None appears on behalf of the petitioner. This matter is pending in the list since 15.03.2023 and has been called on each day of working of this Court since that date. In spite of that no one is appearing on behalf of the petitioner. The petitioner is found to be not interest in this case. Therefore, the same is taken up today for disposal on merit. This is a case filed by the petitioner to pray for an order of this Court for quashing of the criminal proceeding being G.R. no. 1571 of 2014 under Section 498A/406 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate at Barasat. Petitioner's grounds, inter alia, are that the FIR has not disclosed any strong prima facie material against him to construe that a cognizable offence has been committed by him. His further ground is that his wife has victimized him by filing the present criminal case, which is an outcome of malice and vengeance.

On perusal of the entire materials available on record and the grounds made up by the petitioners I am constrained to find that the grounds thereof are not sufficient and cogent enough to warrant this court's interference into the impugned order. Hence, in my considered opinion the revision is liable to be dismissed. Criminal Revision being CRR 175 of 2016 is dismissed. All pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of.
