Mr. Souradipta Banerjee, Ms. Fatima Hassan ...for the petitioner A direction to secure expeditious disposal of an interlocutory application filed by the opposite parties in the court below on 20th January, 2017, is the ultimate relief sought for in this case.

Petitioner is the landlord/plaintiff, who has filed the suit praying for eviction of tenant taking ground of reasonable requirement and others.

It is contended by the learned advocate for the petitioner that by reason of the long pendency of petition under Section 7(2) of the W.B.P.T. Act, the plaintiff/petitioner has been made to suffer serious prejudice.

The only contention thus expressed by the petitioner is against the delay caused in the disposal of application under Section 7(2) of the W.B.P.T. Act.

In view of the nature of order proposed to be made, no prior notice is considered to be necessary. Service upon the opposite parties is thus dispensed with. Accordingly, learned Judge, 6th Bench, Presidency Small Causes Court, at Calcutta, in Ejectment Suit No.570 of 2016, is requested to ensure expeditious disposal of interlocutory petition referred hereinabove under Section 7(2) of the W.B.P.T. Act, providing sufficient opportunity of hearing to either of the parties to this case, but without granting any unnecessary adjournment, at the mere asking of the opposite parties, unless it is extremely unavoidable.

Petitioner is directed to make communication of this order to the learned court below as well as to the learned advocate appearing in the court below for the opposite parties and opposite parties.

With this observation/directions, the revisional application stands disposed of.
