Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the subject matter of the case relates to alleged recovery of 21 kgs of ganja, 352 bottles of wincerex, 12 bottles of phensedyl and 24 kgs of codeine mixtures.

Learned advocate for the NCB submits that the petitioner is a national from Bangladesh and is involved in the alleged offence and was intercepted by the BSF.

Having considered the huge quantity of contraband which was recovered and two other accused persons absconding, at this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Learned Special Court is directed to split up the trial of the case.

Petitioner will renew his prayer for bail after the stage of consideration of charges is over.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM (NDPS) 281 of 2026 is rejected.

All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
