1. Learned advocate appearing for the Howrah Municipal Corporation has submitted that the order and direction passed by this Court has been complied with. Inspection was conducted and unauthorised construction was found and show-cause notice has been issued to Pappu Barma dated 9th August, 2023 and thereafter an order has been passed on 24th March, 2025 directing demolition of illegal construction within a period of 15 days from the date of receiving the notice by Pappu Barma himself.

2. It appears that Pappu Barma has not carried out the direction. In such circumstances, we direct the Howrah Municipal Corporation to take further action to demolish the unauthorised/illegal construction after following the procedure stipulated under the Act.

3. Let this direction be complied with within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of server copy of this order.

4. With the aforesaid direction, the contempt application stands disposed of.

5. No costs.

6. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties expeditiously upon compliance of all legal formalities.
