The petitioner has complained to the Burdwan Women Police Station as also Burdwan Police Station as regards her son, who went missing since October 20, 2022. She lives with her mother and has left her matrimonial house. She has filed three complaints against her husband and in-laws in the two police stations. They are First Information Report no.173 of 2017 dated 17.06.2017, 114 of 2019 dated 7.4.2019 and 532 of 2022 dated 3.11.2022.

The two police stations have filed separate reports in this matter, which are kept on record. The petitioner's son, as per the police, has been residing happily with his father for the last seven years. The petitioner denies the same.

Since the child is secure, this Court is of the view that the petitioner may seek visitation

guardianship right in respect of her son from the appropriate court under the appropriate statute. The investigation into the subject FIRs may be completed as expeditiously as possible, if not already done so.

WPA No.3036 of 2023 stands, accordingly, disposed of.
