Ms. Reshmi Rehman, Advocate ......for the Respondent/State The approach was made to the authorities to disclose whether the land possessed by the petitioner is shown as a vested land and if that be so, the details of the vesting orders. Immediately, thereafter, another application was made to the Officer-in-charge of the concerned police station alleging that some unknown persons are trying to forcibly enter into the property to dislodge the petitioner therefrom.

The Tribunal was approached obviously against the alleged inaction of the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer in not divulging the information sought for by the petitioner. The impugned order would reveal that the Tribunal took note of the inaction on behalf of the authority in not disclosing the details as sought for and directed the B.L.& L.R.O., Nannor, District Purba Medinipur to submit a status report on the next date.

Curiously enough, the petitioner has filed the instant writ-petition and claimed that the Tribunal ought to have passed an order of status quo. There is no allegation against the B.L.& L.R.O. that an

attempt is made by him to take forcible possession from the petitioner. The allegation runs in several sentences against an unknown miscreant and, therefore, we do not find that it is a fit case where the order of status quo should be passed on mere drop of the hat.

The Tribunal has not committed any error in refusing to pass an interim order.

The writ-petition fails. WPLRT 16 of 2022 is accordingly dismissed. No order as to costs.
