Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that a mere status quo was granted by the Learned Executive Magistrate on an application under Section 144 of the Code filed by the petitioner and a report was called for from the B.L. & L.R.O. The learned revisional court stayed the impugned order and fixed the next date for hearing on 23.02.2021. I have heard the submissions of the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the petitioner and have perused the revision petition.

No prejudice will be caused to anyone if a direction for an expeditious disposal of the proceeding is passed in this case. Since the revisional application is pending before the learned Sessions Court, it will not be proper to interfere with the matter at this stage.

However, considering the fact that an application under Section 144 of the Code involves extreme exigencies, I request the learned revisional court to conclude the hearing of the case at the earliest, preferably on the next date fixed for hearing i.e. 23.02.2021 or at least within seven days from that date. With these observations, the revisional application is

disposed of.

Till the final disposal of the application under Section 144 of the Code, the police shall ensure that no breach of peace takes place at the premises in question Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
