The petitioner seeks transfer. She is presently serving within the Purba Medinipur, District Primary School Council and she intends to be transferred within the Paschim Medinipur, District Primary School Council.

Her application for transfer was forwarded by the Chairman of the Purba Medinipur, District Primary School Council to the Chairman of the Paschim Medinipur, District Primary School Council on 29th January, 2021 with request to transmit the same to the

Secretary of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education for favourable consideration.

The grievance of the petitioner is that her application for transfer has not been taken up for consideration till date.

Learned advocate appearing for the Council submits that presently all transfers of teachers are being conducted online through the Utsashrtee Portal. It has been submitted that offline applications for transfer are no longer accepted by the authority. In view of the aforesaid submission, the petitioner is granted leave to apply for transfer in the dedicated portal that has been set up by the Education Department.

In the event such an application is made, the same shall be considered in accordance with law at the earliest.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
