1. The report filed today by WBSEDCL shows that there is no further impediment to give the electricity connection sought by the petitioner since the petitioner has complied with all formalities and the zone-in-question has now been designated as a 'safe zone' insofar as the ground water authorities are concerned.

2. Keeping such report on record, WPA No.

3008 of 2024 is disposed of by directing the WBSEDCL to give electricity connection to the petitioner at the earliest, preferably within three weeks from date, subject to the petitioner complying with all formalities.

3. It is further recorded that the parties have agreed that if any damage occurs to the Boro crop which is being grown in the adjoining areas, such damage will be compensated to

the respective land owners by the present writ petitioner.

4. There will be no order as to costs.

5. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities. (Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya, J.)
