The petitioner complains that his bills raised on account of fees in respect of the matters in which he appeared on behalf of the State are yet to be paid. He made a representation dated July 4, 2019 which is yet to be considered and decided.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the Legal Remembrancer may be directed to dispose of the representation and consider the bills of the petitioner and if found payable, to disburse the amounts due.

In the circumstances, it would be appropriate to direct the respondent no. 3 to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner dated July 4, 2019, in accordance with law. The respondent no. 3 will afford an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. He is at liberty to hear such other parties and require such documents that he may deem appropriate. Respondent no. 3 will pass a reasoned order which he will communicate

to the parties that he heard forthwith thereafter. It is expected that the entire exercise is completed within six weeks from date. In the event the respondent no. 3 finds that bills are payable to the petitioner, he will take appropriate steps for the purpose of disbursement of such amount to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible.

WPA 2349 of 2020 is disposed of accordingly.
