On prayer of the petitioner, liberty is granted to implead the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited as the opposite party no.2 in the application.

Cause title of the application be amended accordingly. Since the opposite party no.2 is represented, the petitioner is directed to serve copy of the application along with annexure thereto upon the learned counsel appearing for the opposite party no.2 in course of this day.

Heard the learned counsels for the parties.

The petitioner has assailed the order dated 7th December, 2023 passed by the learned Judge, Special Court (Electricity Act) 4th Court, Krishnagar at Nadia directing issuance of warrant of arrest against him. The petitioner was on bail and failed to appear before the learned trial Court on 7th December, 2023 for which warrant of arrest was issued against him. The petitioner undertakes to surrender before the learned trial Court within two weeks from date. If the petitioner surrenders before the learned trial Court within two weeks from date and files an application for bail, the learned trial Court shall deal with the same in accordance with law.

In the event the petitioner fails to surrender before the learned trial Court within the stipulated time frame, the learned trial Court shall be at

liberty to take necessary steps against the petitioner in accordance with law without further reference to this Court.

Warrant of arrest issued against the petitioner vide order dated 7th December, 2023 be stayed till 21st March, 2025. CRR 643 of 2025 is disposed of.
