Mr. Indranil Halder ...for the petitioner Mr. Shoham Sanyal ...for CESC Limited The petitioner submits that the difficulties encountered in availing the electricity connection may be resolved by shifting the meter, currently standing in his name, to a newly constructed room intended to serve as a common meter room.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation Limited (CESC) submits that another meter also exists on the premises, and the consumer associated with that meter has consented to its relocation. It is further submitted that the said consumer shall provide the necessary 'No Objection' for shifting the petitioner's meter.

In view of the above submissions, no further adjudication is required in the present writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon CESC to shift the petitioner's meter to the newly constructed room within a period of one

month from the date of this order, subject to the petitioner's compliance with all requisite formalities. Accordingly, WPA 3492 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
