The petitioners are aggrieved by the factum that Chandipur Police Station Case No. 391 of 2022 which is pending before learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Court, Tamluk is progressing in a manner which would consume time for completion. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that charge was framed on 22.11.2023 and the next date for recording evidence has been fixed on or about 06.11.2024 i.e. almost after one year. It has been also brought to the notice of this Court that there are eight witnesses to be examined by the prosecution.

Having regard to the anxiety so expressed by the petitioners, I direct that on and from 06.11.2024, the learned trial court would fix one date in every sixty days so that trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment be granted to any of the parties.

Learned public prosecutor conducting the case would ensure regarding the production of materials, documents and exhibits on the dates so fixed for examination of the witnesses.

All stakeholders would cooperate with the learned trial court to conclude the trial at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 556 of 2024 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
