Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that in spite of information being furnished to the police authorities for cognizable offence being committed at the behest of the private respondents, no steps were taken by the police authorities. On the other hand, learned advocate appearing for the State submits that police authorities have registered Burdwan Women P.S. Case No.67 of 2025 dated 25.02.2025 under the relevant provisions of law.

Learned advocate appearing for the private respondents submits that there has been suppression of material facts as the civil suit is already pending between the parties and there are specific directions of the civil court.

Be that as it may, petitioner presently complains of feeling insecured because she is staying lonely. Having regard to the same, I am of the view that since a criminal case has already been registered, petitioner if she feels insecured, she would take out an appropriate application or inform the investigating officer of the case, if the investigation is pending. To that effect, the jurisdictional court or the investigating officer concerned would take steps in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 3264 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

Copy of the report be handed over to both the parties.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
