...... petitioners Mr. Mounick Ghosh ...... for the petitioners Mr. Sudip Ghosh, Mr. Bitasok Banerjee, Mr. A.K. Dutta ...... for the State It is submitted on behalf of the petitioners that the complaint against them is a counter-blast to an earlier proceeding.
The brief facts of the case are that in respect of a land dispute the petitioners and the other male members of the family have caused severe injuries to one and another. Charge sheet has been filed against another set of accused in an independent FIR being Baishnabnagar PS case no. 566 of 2020 dated 22.10.2020. Interestingly, in the instant case as well as in the said FIR, the complainants are the wives of the respective accused. Counsel for the State submits that petitioners have not cooperated with the investigation till date. It is further transpires that the injuries are rather serious in nature.
Under such circumstances, this court is not inclined to entertain the application for anticipatory bail. Accordingly, CRM 1407 of 2021 stands rejected. (Biswajit Basu, J.) (Rajasekhar Mantha, J.)
