An affidavit-of-compliance has been filed by the Pradhan of the Gram Panchayat. It appears there from that the plan was sanctioned by the Panchayat for raising construction over Sali land in respect of one Surat Ali Laskar and Abdul Mujit Laskar.

As regards Atiar Rahaman Laskar and Motiar Rahaman Laskar both could not produce any documents in support of the construction made save and except the trade licence and the property tax receipt since 2018.

Ahmmad Ali Laskar did not turn up in the hearing despite notice and the Panchayat, accordingly, could not ascertain as to whether the construction was made upon obtaining prior permission from the Panchayat or not.

The Pradhan has forwarded the reasoned order to the Sub-Divisional Officer, Baruipur, South Parganas on 18th December, 2023.

The Sub-Divisional Officer is directed to take necessary remedial steps in respect of the constructions made over Sali land and in respect of the constructions which are not supported by any document at all. The contempt application stands disposed of.

The Sub-Divisional Officer shall take steps in the matter at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.
